Photograph supplied.

It’s that time of the year again – cyclists all over are looking for those last few entries into the Cape Town Cycle Tour. And if you haven’t been successful in getting an entry into the race, Kidzpositive to the rescue!

The Kidzpositive Family Fund is a NPO dedicated to improving the lives of children and families affected by HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases – and we would love for you to race in our team and help use raise much needed funds.

Kidzpositive partners with various government hospitals and clinics in and around Cape Town. We are currently partnering with 12 facilities such as Groote Schuur, Victoria and New Somerset Hospitals; and community clinics in Gugulethu, Mitchell’s Plain, DuNoon to name a few.

Over 3 500 children and adolescents now benefit from our programmes running at 12 different sites. The Kidzpositive Family Fund gives support via counselling, psychology, social work, home visits, Occupational Therapy, Early Childhood Development and very soon adolescent clubs.

So let’s get down to the important stuff. Kidzpositive decided to have two entry types this year:

  1. R1 000 – which includes your race day entry, a cycle shirt and you make a commitment to raise funds for Kidzpositive in your own personal capacity OR
  2. R2 000 – which includes your race day entry, a cycle shirt, a donation to Kidzpositive and no commitment to raise additional funds.

Keep in mind that all donations and entries are tax deductible and that tax receipts will be issued on request.
